From a series of investigations between 2006 and 2008 in the 16th district of Paris, this article is interested in the political behavior of fractions of upper classes characterized by the importance of the economic capital, the status of independent and Practice of religion. This is in particular to test the hypothesis of a strong politicization of that bourgeoisie, founded on a high degree of political sophistication. The results of these surveys show that this hypothesis deserves to be nuanced. First, because the jurisdiction that is postulated for these voters is often much lower in practice they do not claim it in theory. Then, because of the distance to possess extraordinary abilities, they reason, like the others, using shortcuts and simplifications. Avoiding political debate rather they seek, they reveal particularly sensitive to the collective logic that are the principle of the production of opinions, for them and for others.
